A Mother's Touch Midwifery
Description
I provide holistic prenatal, birth and postpartum care for families desiring to have their babies in their homes. My care is family centered where partners and children are encouraged to attend all visits. I have three different birthtubs for rent and work with Moms that want to have a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean). Initial interviews are free of charge and are a chance for us to meet to see if we are a good match.
Profile and Credentials
Midwifery has been an important part of my life for the last sixteen years. I apprenticed from 1991-1993 observing and helping at 43 births. From 1993-1997 I had a supervised intern practice in which I was the primary midwife for 47 clients. During this time I also had two children of my own at home. I became a Registered Midwife in 1997 and now have attended over 185 births.
Philosophy and Comments
I am honored to be part of a family's life changing experience during pregnancy and birth. It is a rite of passage in a woman's life that has many unknowns. It is important to get good support from a knowledgeable person. I have a holistic practice that includes the use of herbs, homeopathy, and mostly the age old wisdom of midwives from all over the world. I mostly practice the hands-off approach of letting MOTHER nature take her course.
Work Hours and Fee Schedule
My fee is $3,500, which covers the prenatal, homebirth and postpartum care. Labwork, birth kit, classes, birthtub rentals and supplements are not included.
